Background: Online Radio Host, Producer and Founder
In early 2009, Dreamcatchers BlogTalk Radio successfully launched. Ms. Kshir and a former colleague created the online radio show in effort to educate the public on child abuse symptoms, intervention, prevention, statistics, reporting, and helping victims locate the proper resources necessary to achieve a full recovery. Ms, Kshir quickly turned the one hour a night show into Michigan's first live 24 hour streaming station.
The show ran Monday--Friday (11pm--12pm EST) and was hosted by Donna Kshir and Laurie Ann Smith. Several months into the broadcast two additional hosts would come aboard Lee 'Elizabeth' Roberts and Star Myers. These leading ladies would take Dreamcatchers Talk Radio (DTR) over the top interviewing some of the biggest and most well respected advocates in the country.
Ms. Kshir would ultimately leave as a host, to be replaced by Patricia McKnight, but continued to produce the show up until she resigned as president of Dreamcatchers for Abused Children in February 2015. When Kshir left, the other hosts including McKnight would quickly follow Kshir's lead and DTR would stop broadcasting. However, each former host would go on to host and produce their own shows. In December 2016, Ms. Kshir and Ms. Roberts would co-found, co-host and co-produce a new version of their old show now called Two Nana's at Noon. The 30 minute show quickly received praise. The show would air on Your Voice Radio and on Advocates United for Humanity (AU4Humanity) Radio.
